SiltechWorld Makes History with First Fully Made-in-Nigeria EV Exported to the U.S.

SiltechWorld, a Nigerian electric mobility company, has made history as the first African firm to export a fully made-in-Nigeria electric vehicle (EV) to the United States. This milestone highlights Nigeria’s growing capabilities in electric vehicle production and positions SiltechWorld as a key player in Africa’s electric mobility sector.

The exported vehicle, called the Elohim-Falcon, is a multipurpose utility EV built entirely from locally sourced and recycled materials. By focusing on local sourcing, SiltechWorld demonstrates its commitment to sustainability and reducing reliance on international supply chains while fostering homegrown innovation.

Since its establishment in 2016, SiltechWorld has expanded its operations beyond vehicle manufacturing to include battery assembly, charging infrastructure, and consultancy services. The company also launched the Innovation Academy Fund, which trains Nigerian engineers and technicians in EV production, building local expertise and supporting the country’s green technology ambitions.

SiltechWorld’s achievement challenges global perceptions of African manufacturing. Exporting a fully Nigerian-made EV to the U.S. demonstrates that African nations can contribute meaningfully to the global transition towards sustainable transportation, proving that local innovation can compete on the world stage.
