Kwara State is taking a bold step toward becoming Nigeria’s next major technology powerhouse with the official announcement of the Kwara AI Summit 2025, scheduled for November 27–28, 2025, at the Ilorin Innovation Hub.

Organized by the Kwara State Government and the Ilorin Innovation Hub, in partnership with leading technology and development institutions including Lovable, Pastel, Zoho, NCAIR, Premia Business Network, Awarri, IHS, KWASU, UNDP, and Agoravisa, the summit is set to become a landmark moment for Nigeria’s AI and digital transformation landscape.

With the theme “AI in Harmony: Bridging People, Policy, and Possibilities,” the Kwara AI Summit 2025 reflects the state’s ambitious mission to lead national AI conversations and position itself as a strategic hub where policy, talent, innovation, governance, and economic opportunity converge.

In recent years, Kwara has quietly risen as one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing innovation centres—investing in digital skills, strengthening youth talent pipelines, expanding technology infrastructure, and cultivating a tech ecosystem increasingly attracting startups, investors, and industry leaders.

As Nigeria evaluates how artificial intelligence can power its socio-economic future, Kwara stands out by offering a unique environment where government, academia, industry, and grassroots innovation intersect seamlessly. The Ilorin Innovation Hub has become a catalyst for this transformation, making the state more than ready to host a summit of this scale.

The Kwara AI Summit 2025 will be anchored on four core pillars:

  • People & Talent

  • Policy & Governance

  • Innovation & Industry

  • AI for Development

Through high-level discussions, hands-on workshops, exhibitions, hackathons, startup showcases, and collaborative sessions, the summit aims to:

  • Strengthen Kwara’s position as an emerging AI hub in Africa

  • Shape policy conversations around safe, inclusive AI adoption

  • Foster collaboration between government, academia, and the private sector

  • Empower startups and innovators with visibility and opportunity

  • Deliver practical, real-world AI learning experiences for participants

Speaking on the significance of the event, Temi Kolawole, Director of the Ilorin Innovation Hub, stated:

“Kwara has spent the past few years laying the foundation for a bold digital future, and the Kwara AI Summit 2025 is a reflection of how far we’ve come. This summit is more than an event—it’s a statement of intent. We are building an innovation ecosystem that is open, inclusive, and globally competitive, and we are excited to welcome the world to Ilorin to experience the new possibilities emerging from our state.”

Special recognition goes to His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, whose unwavering commitment continues to position Kwara as a true technology hub in Africa.

Artificial intelligence is reshaping industries globally—from health, agriculture, and governance to education, finance, and creative sectors—making it essential for Nigeria to adopt AI responsibly and strategically. The Kwara AI Summit 2025 provides the perfect platform to explore how AI can drive inclusive growth, economic expansion, and talent development across the nation.
