Adobe is adding new AI-powered features to its experimental Project Indigo camera app, including a tool that critiques photos and suggests ways to improve them.

The new AI features use large language models to assess elements such as framing, lighting, colour and emotional impact, while also providing suggestions for reshooting or editing an image.

AI-Powered Photography Feedback

Project Indigo can now provide photography feedback, including recommendations on framing, exposure and objects within the frame. The app can also suggest how users can improve an existing photo using Adobe Lightroom editing controls.

The feature is designed to offer more specific guidance than generic AI editing prompts, potentially helping users understand photography techniques while improving their images.

Advanced Object Removal

Adobe is also introducing AI-powered object removal tools that allow users to remove common distractions such as people, rubbish, wires, poles, fences and vehicles.

Users can also describe a specific object they want to remove, allowing the AI to edit the image without requiring them to manually select or outline the object.



More AI Editing Features

Other new features include depth-of-field generation and the ability to apply different visual styles to photos.

With the update, Adobe is positioning Project Indigo as more than a camera app, combining professional photography controls with AI-powered tools designed to help users capture and edit better images.
