AI Startup Cue Secures $5 Million to Expand Customer Service Automation
Cue, an AI-powered customer engagement platform, has raised $5 million in a funding round co-led by Knife Capital and FAM Investments to accelerate the growth of its AI-driven customer service platform.
The company said the investment will support its vision of replacing fragmented customer service tools with a unified platform where AI agents can manage and resolve customer interactions across multiple digital channels.
Scaling AI-Powered Customer Support
Cue's platform enables businesses to automate customer engagement across WhatsApp, webchat, email, Messenger, SMS and voice, providing a single interface for managing customer communications.
According to the company, the platform is already used by more than 500 businesses, processing over 500 million customer messages and conversations annually.
Cue also reported that its AI agents autonomously resolve more than 60% of customer interactions, while its annual recurring revenue (ARR) has grown by 160% year-on-year, reflecting increasing demand for AI-powered customer service solutions.
Expanding Beyond Customer Support
With the new funding, Cue plans to broaden the capabilities of its AI agents beyond customer support into sales and business operations.
Future AI agents will be able to qualify sales leads, update customer relationship management (CRM) systems, schedule appointments, generate payment links, and securely resolve customer requests across integrated enterprise systems.
The company said the expansion is aimed at helping businesses automate a wider range of workflows while improving customer experience and operational efficiency.
Meeting Growing Demand for AI Automation
Cue said the funding reflects growing demand for AI-powered automation as organisations increasingly adopt intelligent platforms capable of managing customer conversations and executing business tasks across multiple communication channels.
The company plans to use the investment to strengthen its AI capabilities and support the next phase of growth as businesses continue to embrace AI-driven customer engagement.
