Bitget has become the first major cryptocurrency exchange to offer US stock options, expanding its multi-asset trading platform beyond digital assets.

The new feature allows eligible users to trade options on leading US-listed companies alongside cryptocurrencies, tokenised stocks, forex, commodities, gold and indices from a single platform.

Expanding beyond crypto

The launch builds on Bitget's growing Stock+ offering, which already includes tokenised stocks and access to selected pre-IPO investment opportunities.

Users can currently trade long call and long put options. Call options allow traders to speculate on rising stock prices, while put options can be used to bet on falling prices or hedge against potential losses.

According to Bitget, additional trading strategies and more advanced options products will be introduced as the platform evolves.

Growing demand for stock options

The expansion comes as interest in stock options continues to rise globally.

The US options market processed more than 15.2 billion contracts in 2025, highlighting growing participation from both retail and institutional investors seeking tools for trading, portfolio management and risk hedging.

Bringing traditional finance and crypto together

Bitget says the new product reflects its broader strategy of bringing traditional financial markets and digital assets into a single trading ecosystem.

The exchange aims to give users access to a wider range of investment opportunities without leaving its platform, positioning itself as a multi-asset exchange serving both crypto traders and traditional market participants.

With the launch, Bitget becomes the first major crypto exchange to combine cryptocurrency trading, tokenised stocks and US stock options within one integrated platform.
