Cregis Expands into Africa to Power Enterprise Digital Asset Growth
Enterprise digital asset infrastructure platform Cregis has announced its expansion into Africa, targeting the continent's growing digital asset market and rising demand for secure, enterprise-grade infrastructure.
The expansion follows Cregis' growth across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Latin America, as businesses increasingly adopt digital assets for payments, cross-border transactions and financial services.
Africa's Digital Asset Market Gains Momentum
According to Chainalysis, Sub-Saharan Africa received more than US$205 billion in on-chain value between July 2024 and June 2025, representing a 52% year-on-year increase.
The growth has been driven by increased stablecoin use, cross-border transactions and wider adoption of digital financial services. Improving regulatory clarity in several African markets is also creating a stronger environment for enterprise adoption.
Cregis said it has already onboarded enterprise customers in Africa and is expanding its business development activities, with a particular focus on Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa.
Cregis Targets Enterprise Digital Asset Operations
The company is working with stablecoin payment providers, OTC trading desks, cryptocurrency exchanges and digital banks across the region.
Its platform provides infrastructure for managing digital assets across their lifecycle, including wallet operations, fund flows, custody, governance and compliance. Its offerings include Wallet-as-a-Service (WaaS), Payment Engine, TronGas and Crypto Off-Ramp.
Cregis said its African expansion builds on nearly a decade of experience supporting businesses in high-growth digital asset markets. The company currently supports more than 200 long-term enterprise deployments globally and holds certifications including SOC 2 Type I, SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001.
Looking to Build a Long-Term African Presence
Cregis plans to deepen its presence across Africa through local partnerships, customer engagement and participation in industry events, including the Blockchain Africa Conference and Blockfest Africa.
The company said its goal is to help African businesses build digital asset operations that can scale alongside the region's evolving financial and regulatory landscape.
