US startup Nori has introduced SuperNori, a new AI-powered home assistant designed to help families manage everyday household activities with minimal user input.

Unlike traditional smart home assistants that rely on voice commands and manual routines, SuperNori is built to understand a user's intent and carry out tasks across connected apps, services and smart home devices.

The platform can organise family schedules, coordinate connected devices, monitor household supplies and automate routine activities by executing multiple tasks in the background. It also integrates with Android and the Home Assistant ecosystem, allowing it to interact with both digital services and compatible smart home hardware.

According to the company, SuperNori functions as a home operating system rather than a standalone chatbot, enabling it to coordinate actions across multiple platforms instead of responding to individual requests.

Nori says the long-term goal is to reduce the everyday workload involved in managing a household by allowing AI to anticipate needs and complete routine tasks proactively.

The launch comes as AI companies increasingly shift their focus from workplace productivity tools to AI agents capable of handling real-world activities. SuperNori joins a growing number of products aiming to make artificial intelligence a more active part of everyday life.
