Meta Launches Muse Spark 1.1 for AI Coding
Meta has launched Muse Spark 1.1, a new multimodal AI model designed for coding, workflow automation and enterprise software development, intensifying competition in the fast-growing AI coding market.
The release positions Meta against rivals including OpenAI and Anthropic, which have already introduced similar AI coding models.
Built for Enterprise Coding and Automation
According to Meta, Muse Spark 1.1 is designed to perform complex coding tasks through multi-step reasoning, enabling it to fix bugs, manage digital workflows, automate software development and support large-scale code migrations.
The company said the model is particularly suited for enterprise environments where organisations are increasingly adopting AI agents to streamline development processes.
Competitive Pricing Targets Developers
Meta is pricing Muse Spark 1.1 at US$1.25 per million input tokens and US$4.25 per million output tokens, placing it among the more affordable AI coding models currently available.
The company said the model delivers strong performance in agentic coding, tool use and computer-assisted workflows while maintaining competitive operating costs.
Meta Strengthens Its AI Portfolio
Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg described Muse Spark 1.1 as a powerful AI coding model built for agentic performance at a low price, adding that more AI releases are expected in the coming months.
The launch follows Meta's recent introduction of Muse Image, its latest AI image-generation model, and comes during a week of major AI announcements from competitors including OpenAI's GPT-5.6 and SpaceXAI's Grok 4.5.
With Muse Spark 1.1, Meta is strengthening its presence in enterprise AI as competition increasingly shifts toward faster, more capable and cost-efficient AI agents for software development.
