Nigeria's Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has launched a new Innovation and Digital Services Unit as it accelerates efforts to become a fully paperless organisation and modernise corporate registration services across the country.

The new unit is expected to drive the commission's digital transformation agenda by improving operational efficiency and enhancing the delivery of business registration and regulatory services.

Driving a Paperless Corporate Registry

Speaking at the inauguration, Registrar-General Hussaini Ishaq Magaji said the initiative supports the Federal Government's digital transformation agenda under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritises digitisation, innovation, industrialisation and economic diversification.

He described the CAC as a leader in the digital transformation of public service delivery, adding that the establishment of the unit marks another milestone in the commission's efforts to eliminate paper-based processes.

Magaji also directed the new unit to ensure that all CAC state offices fully implement the commission's paperless strategy.

Supporting Digital Public Service Delivery

Responding on behalf of the team, Mohammed Abdullahi welcomed the creation of the Innovation and Digital Services Unit and pledged its commitment to supporting the commission's vision of becoming a fully digital organisation.

The unit will focus on strengthening digital service delivery, improving internal processes and supporting the adoption of technology across the commission's operations.

Advancing Nigeria's Digital Transformation

The launch forms part of the Corporate Affairs Commission's broader strategy to modernise public service delivery through technology.

By expanding digital services and reducing reliance on manual processes, the commission aims to provide faster, more efficient and seamless services for businesses while supporting Nigeria's wider digital economy agenda.
