Nigerian enterprise software company SeamlessHR has rebranded as Seamless Technologies, reflecting its expansion beyond human resources software into financial services, procurement technology and artificial intelligence.

The move marks a strategic shift as the company evolves into a broader enterprise technology platform while retaining SeamlessHR as one of several products under the new corporate brand.

Expanding Beyond HR

Under its new structure, Seamless Technologies will operate through three core business units.

SeamlessHR will continue to provide workforce management solutions, while Breeze will deliver embedded financial services, including payroll financing, earned wage access and other employee-focused financial products.

The company is also expanding SeamlessProcure, its enterprise procurement platform designed to simplify purchasing and vendor management.

New AI and Workforce Solutions

As part of the rebrand, the company introduced BWOP (Blue Collar Operations Platform), a solution built for organisations managing frontline and shift workers.

The platform enables businesses to digitally manage attendance, shift scheduling, workforce records, employee communication and self-service functions.

Supporting the broader ecosystem is Samira, an AI layer designed to automate routine tasks, generate business insights and enable users to interact across Seamless Technologies' products.

Driving Financial Inclusion

According to the company, expanding access to financial services has become a central part of its long-term strategy.

The decision comes as financial inclusion remains a major challenge across Nigeria, where 32% of adults remain financially excluded, according to EFInA's 2023 Access to Financial Services Survey.

Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder Dr Emmanuel Okeleji said the company recognised that improving access to finance is closely linked to workplace productivity and economic participation.

Backed by Growth Capital

The rebrand follows the company's US$9 million Series A extension secured last year from the Gates Foundation and Helios Digital Ventures, bringing its total funding to more than US$20 million.

The investment is supporting the company's continued expansion across Africa.

Founded in 2018, Seamless Technologies now serves more than 1,500 medium and large organisations across Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda and Kenya, with plans to deepen its presence across the continent.

Why It Matters

The rebrand signals Seamless Technologies' ambition to become an integrated enterprise platform that combines workforce management, financial services, procurement and AI. It also reflects a broader trend among African technology companies diversifying beyond their original products to build larger digital ecosystems.
