YouTube Premium subscribers will soon get access to Peacock's ad-supported streaming content at no additional cost, following a new multi-year partnership between YouTube and NBCUniversal.

Starting in 2027, Premium members will be able to watch Peacock shows, movies and live sports directly through the YouTube app, adding more value to the subscription service.

Peacock Joins YouTube Premium

The Peacock bundle will be included in YouTube's standard Premium plan, which currently costs $15.99 per month in the US. Peacock's ad-supported plan, meanwhile, starts at $10.99 per month when purchased separately.

Subscribers who prefer an ad-free experience will also have the option to pay extra to upgrade to Peacock Premium Plus.

The integration will be introduced in stages. Peacock Premium Plus is already available through YouTube Primetime Channels, while the ad-supported Peacock Premium plan is expected to launch as a standalone add-on later this summer.


YouTube and NBCUniversal Expand Partnership

The multi-year deal also includes plans to stream select live sporting events on the official NBC Sports YouTube channel and develop regional bundles featuring NBCUniversal's Universal+ and Hayu services.

The partnership comes as Peacock continues to expand its reach through distribution deals with major platforms. The streaming service recently reported its first quarterly profit, six years after launching in 2020.

By bringing Peacock content into YouTube Premium, NBCUniversal gains access to YouTube's large subscriber base while giving Premium users a broader range of entertainment and live sports content within one subscription.
