CIG Motors, the parent company of LagRide, has donated 10 operational vehicles valued at more than ₦300 million to the Lagos State Security Trust Fund as part of efforts to strengthen security operations and emergency response across Lagos.

The donation was led by CIG Motors Group Chairman and CEO, Chief Diana Chen, with the vehicles expected to improve the mobility of security personnel and help agencies respond more efficiently to incidents across the state.

The contribution comes at a time when Lagos continues to experience rapid population growth and increasing economic activity. As one of Nigeria’s biggest commercial centres, the state faces security challenges that require security agencies to have adequate operational resources.

Why the Vehicles Matter

Effective security operations often depend on how quickly officers can reach an incident. In a densely populated city such as Lagos, traffic congestion and the distance between communities can make emergency response more difficult.

The Lagos State Security Trust Fund welcomed the contribution, describing CIG Motors as a dependable private-sector partner to the Lagos State Government.

The fund, established in 2007, works to mobilise resources to support security agencies and improve security infrastructure across the state.

Private-sector contributions have become an important part of this effort, particularly as Lagos continues to expand and security agencies require additional resources to meet the demands of a growing population.
